It now seems to be working again. I e-mailed UPDOX support about it.

Should be Green again - all the accounts I have checked are G-T-G. There should be more information available tomorrow.

Yeah, we've had some issues keeping that one component up and running the past couple of days. I think we've finally figured it out, so hopefully things will be better now.

Tobin, if we email Updox support, what is the time frame for someone to review the email and respond? I for one find the new email process very cumbersome as far as trying to fill out all the required information. I of course realize that this information can be helpful to UPDOX, but there should be a way to streamline it for paid subscribers. By the time I get to the point to where I have to figure out what category my complaint fits in, I am about ready to blow a fuse some days. It frequently takes longer to register than it does to type in the problem. I do want to compliment Charlie and Meg because they are great to work with.

Depending on the severity of the issue, we aim to respond within 4 to 8 hours, although it is often much quicker than that. If issues are submitted late in the day, or overnight, you may not hear back until the next business day. This week has been a bit of an anomaly, it is Spring Break week and several people are out of the office on vacation with their kids, so we're definitely running behind this week. I apologize for the slow response times this week.
We do have plans to streamline some of the support ticket fields, I do understand there is a lot there. Not sure when that will happen yet, but it is something we're discussing.
Thanks for the compliments, I've passed them along.

I just saw a Marine before I read this. I will have to ask him the next time.

I think Updox just waits for us to be done patients, trying to get our last charts done for the day ... then zings us. Yeah, I smell a conspiracy. For what its worth, I'm dealing with the same Updox issue here right now. Shankar S Family Med Lawrenceville, NJ

Couple of updox questions folks: How does one flag a document with a colored flag so it can be filtered by a user? Second: I want my nurse to send the document to the patient's chart before I sign off on it. However, it does not look like I can find 'un-signed' items to look at in AC.
Lastly, if I forward my fax machine to the Updox number, will I still be able to send faxes manually from my machine? Any help will be appreciated

Hi AJ you definitely can continue to fax from your regular machine after porting/forwarding your number to updox. Porting/forwarding just causes the incoming faxes to go to updox, does not change previous outgoing methods. I have a brother 8840DN with paperport and I fax all multi page document requests ( for > 10 pages or so ) from my brother from paperport to avoid per page charges (and because I can). Just make sure you still have the phone service plugged into your fax machine. I eliminated my land line fax number to save $$ but piggybacked the regular phone land line into the fax- it doesn't tie up the phone line mostly, as I only use it to fax out large number of pages (like chart requests) mostly after hours.
for the tagging - if you look at updox there is a filter/sort button under the top menu you can set your tag colors there
for the sign off you have to experiment with this but I believe if the nurse does not check off the 'sign-off' box then you will get a message in your AC mail box ? or someone will - which is pink and it says ''sign off: chart item , etc..."
try that!

Thank you so much Lynn. I am good on questions 1 and 2 now. Question 3 though: how to know if an item needs sign off-- it does not appear anywhere which is kind of scary. I realise now that the ma is going to have to select the drop down to 'notify the following provider' and then it shd work.
