How do you add a signature to the end of a note instead of just your typed out name?

You need to scan in your signature. Go to the ADMIN section, click USER ACCOUNT (Configuration), EDIT EXISTING USER. Select the user and you will see a "BROWSE" button. There is where you select the scanned signature file.

I uploaded my .jpg signature -had thought it was small enough, but turns out it wasn't. I cannot seem to swap it out for a smaller one that fits in the window. I cannot erase the one I uploaded either. Any ideas? Surely this is not a permanent move!

Go to \\server_name\amazing charts\_data001. If you change the extension to the files, you can see the signature or whatever it is. Move that file out of the folder, and it may take care of it.

Sometimes, you have to make a small file of a pen dot to replace it. But, you should be able to do it with the above method as that .ac file IS the file.

In the ac folder, they're is a folder named _data 001. In it are your signatures they end with ac like

Hfryihfdthh.ac. Of you change the name to

Fhjtfhjfdhjjg.jpg you can open it and find the sig you are looking for. Then move it to your desktop

Interestingly, my imported signature comes out on all my printed orders and scripts, but it has never come out at the end of my progress notes..... does that mean that it is too big for the progress note? Doesn't seem like that makes a lot of sense..

Progress notes do not have your signature, only Orders, Scrips, Letters.

Aha.... That's what I thought..... So the answer to the original post should be that it's not possible to add signature to your notes?

Is is possible to set signatures so they don't print on script but continue to print other places? Couple of my docs would rather sign the scripts since the sig is pretty small.

If you pick a format that does not print signatures then it works - Washington state format does not print signatures - otherwise PING ac support and find out what other formats do not print signatures.

Of course you can always sign your name above the (small) printed signature...

I figured out finally how to delete the big signature. Now I am wondering what the size of the pic has to be in order to fit right. What are the limit for dimensions mine was 324 x 78 4.55 kb and still too big!

Usually the sizing for the signature is 50 pixels high by about 250 pixels wide. This is approximate as all signatures are a bit different. You should be able to use paint (or Photoshop) to manipulate the sizing.

Please PM me if you have any questions.

what size a file should we make the signature? Should i sign a piece of paper with my normal sized signature and save it as a jpg or scan it in and crop just the sign part? easiest way to get my sig up there?

That is the easiest. Just sign a document like normal, then scan to a JPG and crop. Once cropped, you can resize the file to the pixel size I posted above (50h x 250w).

FYI, i did reduce the image to how i wanted it and all, and it looks great on the edit user part but when printed out it still stretches it out

Ketan,

You are focusing only on the size of your signature and not whether or not it is transparent. If it is not transparent, then it will be obvious that it is a fake signature. I have included some websites that talk about how to make a translucent signature as we as the size. There are many people on the Internet who will do these sigs for you, although you would want to make sure they know exactly what the sig is for.
