hi all
when entering insurance info into the demographics page, sometimes the address pops up wrong. How can we change it? Delete it? By the time different people here enter different addresses, we end up with 10+ addresses under one insurance name (example: cigna) and most are wrong; then the wrong ones sometimes get picked by accident.

From my understanding there is no way to correct the wrong addresses, a serious flaw in the programming if you ask me. This has caused A LOT of frustration for me.
However, it appears that the new practice management version will have codified insurances and so maybe this will eliminate the problem. I hope so.

Actually you can fix errors on the demographics page (whether they are insurance name mistakes or errors in other "remembered" fields). The key is to find ALL of the charts that have the error, and change them.
So if someone spelled "Cigna" as "Signa", go to "Reports" and run a report showing all of the charts with the incorrect spelling. Go through those charts, one-by-one, correcting the spelling and saving the change. When the last chart is corrected, the incorrect spelling will be gone from the drop down.
You just want to hope that you don't have too many charts with the wrong spelling....

Yes. And, Amber, nice spelling on "a lot." That is my biggest pet peeve next to vomitting and medicaiton. The last is a typo though so it doesn't really count.

Thanks Bert. That's one I will never mess up. When I was in the 4th grade, I was tasked with having a teacher as my pen pal and she always praised me for correct spelling and grammar, "a lot" being one of the most regular ones. So, I never forgot.  Amber
