Does anyone know how to run a report on how to export the patient cell phone numbers in a bulk file ? When I export patient data, I only seem to get the main telephone number. We want to sent text message reminders.

Try pinging them online. I have an easier time getting a hold of them online than emailing or calling. http://amazingcharts.com/support/help-me-now/Chose Live Chat/start session

NY2, Could you tell us more about your plans? Will this be an automated process? Have you purchased some texting software? How do you forsee it working? (Also follow-up on what you hear from AC support). Thanks.

I use a service called Call Em All. You can export phone numbers as Excel spread sheet from AC and then send automated voice or text messages. I can demonstrate it for you at our next meeting if you are interested, Jon.

I previously used PHONETREE with my old PM software. I am now checking new services. Since I deal with young parents, many of them are always holding their cell phones, so using an automated service to remind them of their appointments is really cheap and easy to do. AC does not seem to export those cell phone #s in any files. These web based services can send out text reminders to reduce no-shows. We are currently using CALLFIRE for voice calls, but I am not fully happy with their service.

I see the same issue. I can get the cell phone column to show up by doing a search on it, and get a list of names, but the value for the cell phone does not show... only the search criterion shows, like "does not equal 111111111". The wildcard does not work either.. it demands a numeric value. A similar search does seem to work for home phone numbers, however.
I have previously found that not all fields in every AC table are available for searching, and I don't understand why. It seems as easy to make each field searchable as to exclude it, and eventually someone will have a need to search on almost any given field. The beauty of a database is that it should be easy to make this happen.
In the SQL based databases I have written, this would probably represent a simple error in the formatting of the field in an output form, and would be fixed with a single mouse click by the programmer. It does have to rise to the top of the programmer's "to do" inbox, however. Your need is important and reasonable. Please let us know what AC has to say when you contact them.

For my needs, I have always exported home phone numbers which works fine.
Until the time when AC might fix this, I suppose you could work around by it entering the cell numbers in the home field and vice versa if you want to export the cell numbers.

We use SQL Server Integration Services to find all appointments in the scheduler that are coming up in two days and send those appointments to Televox (housecalls) so they can do patient reminders. It's completely automated.
For those of you who need to do some type of phone number export out of Amazing Charts, I can't say my solution would be right for you, but perhaps there is a conversation to be had.
At this point, I'd welcome input from Indy, Bertimus, or Sandeep.
