I posted this before, but it got buried. Not to start any tradition of posting games here or, if so, only on one thread. But, this is a good game to play when frustrated with the board or an insurance company or when you need a little break. I also use it when patients bring out their cell phones so I have something to do. My friend (who I am trying to convert to AC) and I are battling for the farthest spank (as you are to spank the penguin). So far, we are tied at 322.9 feet. I am not sure if that is the farthest. http://n.ethz.ch/student/mkos/pinguin.swf

I haven't gone on that one yet, but is it anything like "spanking the monkey"?? If so, I guess it's a guy game...

Egads, at one time I could have posted a list of time-wasters a mile long, but I have run out of time to waste!

No, spanking the penguin is non gender specific. And, men and women can both play for the same length of time.

I would, but I would be breaking my vow of silence (See "It's a Tie..." post. (Anyway, the yeti hasn't hit my penquin even once! I think I'll go back to "Spank the Monkey".)

Okay, I clicked, and clicked again!
297.7 ft. -- beginner's luck.
I closed the window, and back to work I go!

That's pretty good! There is a method. But, it's kind of like choosing dogs at the dog track by statistics or just choosing the same numbers. You can just whack away and see what happens or judge by the nose of the penguin on the mountain. Anyway, the yeti hasn't hit my penquin even once! You're probably swinging too late. You'll get it. She's very close. I can feel the wind from the Yeti's club.

Bert,
Now you're doing some useful posts!
306.4 feet today, will try again tomorrow!
PS My son got real kick out of that one. Thanks!

Glad I could benefit someone, lol. I think 322.9 is the limit. My friend hit it once, and I hit it twice. It's also fun to go for the shortest distance and the longest distance with a head dive. Keeps the game fresh.

Those are cool. But, I have to say the Penguin Game wasn't mindless. One had to really plan out when and how hard to hit that puppy.

My 12 year old daughter recommends www.addictinggames.com for a whole slew of mindless games - can keep you occupied for hours.

For those interested in a first person shooter I would suggest http://www.quakelive.com . It is fun, and you can play Quake in your browser! Awesome stuff.
