A few years ago I had a assistant with terrible typing/spelling skills. This caused a bunch of erroneous data points to be created in the insurance and city fields in the demographics section. Example: City: Ashland spelled as Ashaland, Asland etc. Insurance: Medicare as Medcare ... I understand that there is no way to delete these data points because they exist in a patient's chart somewhere; but is there a way to search, replace and delete the erroneous entries? Thank you in advance.

Why yes there is. Unfortunately, it means going into the database and using SQL commands to do it.
You'll need a professional to do this for you.

The process can be laborious if there are a lot of errors, but it is doable. 1. Go to Reports...demographics...city= ... and put in the incorrectly spelled city. 2. Run the report 3. Correct each of the patients demographics by clicking on their name in the report and going to their demos page 4. Restart AC and the incorrect spelling should be deleted from the drop down list IF you have deleted every instance of the error.
