I am wondering what others think the best way is to handle a recently deceased patient's Amazing Chart? Should I inactivate it or leave it in until I run meaningful use numbers?

Your MU numbers really should not be real close anyway - I would inactivate it as it is easy to forget and eventually you might want to run a report and do a mass mailing, etc and you really would not want to send information to deceased patient.

I inactivate and exclude from reporting. That way missed mammo/immuniz/etc, due to death, would not count against me.

We also inactivate immediately upon the knowledge of a patient's death due to the shared reasons of the other users who replied.
