Help E-Rx with MU. I write alot of narcotic Rxs b/c I'm a pain specilist. I live in an enlightned state were they will NOT allow E-Rx for class 2 or 3 narcotics, but they do mandate tamper proof computer printer paper for EMR generated Rxs. If I AC write and print these Rxs, then does that mean the MU counts against me with controlled med scripts? I'm I stuck by our gov. or what? Any help appreciated.

there is a specific exemption for eRx penalties for inability to transmit Scheduled drugs with. I believe I saw the same verbiage for MU.

In the newest version of Amazing Charts, we do not count scheduled drugs at all in the numerator or denominator.

Sorry, but they count all Rxs including narcotics. They can not be seperated out of the total.
