Help E-Rx with MU. I write alot of narcotic Rxs b/c I'm a pain specilist. I live in an enlightned state were they will NOT allow E-Rx for class 2 or 3 narcotics, but they do mandate tamper proof computer printer paper for EMR generated Rxs. If I AC write and print these Rxs, then does that mean the MU counts against me with controlled med scripts? I'm I stuck by our gov. or what? Any help appreciated. Dr. NB

there is a specific exemption for eRx penalties for inability to transmit Scheduled drugs with. I believe I saw the same verbiage for MU.

Sorry, but they count all Rxs including narcotics. They can not be seperated out of the total. NB
