I am about to make the next step.
First I hardwired and that solved my connection issue. Now I'm looking for a server and was able to get a good deal on one with Windows SBS 2003.
I realize 2008, and now 2011 are available. Any thoughts on 2003 edition? Does AC really need such a powerful OS, or does 2003 suffice? Thanks

I wouldn't recommend it. It's getting pretty close to EOL assuming you're getting SBS 2003 R2 which is different SBS 2003. I believe SBS 2003 is already at EOL. Another thing that is annoying is the CAL tracking feature which was removed in 2008 and 2011. How good is the deal? Important dates to keep in mind for SBS 2003 when reading its lifecycle.
? http://support.microsoft.com/lifecycle/?p1=1773: Exchange Server 2003?s EOL date is April 8, 2014. ? http://support.microsoft.com/lifecycle/?p1=7022: Windows SharePoint Services 2.0 is July 9, 2013. ? http://support.microsoft.com/lifecycle/?p1=2852: SQL Server 2000 goes out of support on April 9, 2013.

I'm saying it won't work. I'm just saying it'd be like buying XP now when Windows 7 is already out and Windows 8 is on the way.
