We have had AC for almost 2 years and up until now, this is the way that I have printed prescriptions: --I purchased the blank tamper proof prescription paper and using a regular printer, I printed the Scheduled drugs that could not be escribed. Doing it this way, I had an accurate list of meds (as opposed to handwriting the II-V's) I did not want to invest in a special printer for prescriptions and originally, someone told me that it would work and it did. I think a lot of people probably do it this way. However, the difference is that I use the 4 x 6 inch size tamper proof paper. Its just a personal preference, I don't like big pieces of paper will prescriptions on them (silly, I realize :)but, oh well) ANYHOW, as I stated, other than a couple of problems when upgrading to different versions, it has worked really well. However, this latest upgrade is a different story. I like pretty much everything about this version, but something with the eprescribe changed. I cannot get my rx to format. All the formats are on 8 X 11 paper. I have spent 2 very frustrating sessions on the phone with tech support (unusual since they have always been able to fix my problems) and the final answer I came away with was, "we do not support that size paper and you have to buy the special printer" To be fair, that was likely not the exact words but that was what I came away with. My question to the rest of the users is this... Does anyone else use the blank 4X6 paper? I really would like to continue to use this not to mention that I have Lots of it on hand that I've already purchased. I am sorry for the wordy post but I'm frustrated (and quite possible, just a little resistant to change)

I probably can't help as I use the Star Printer. The program knows when to print to the small tamper proof paper or the 8 1/2 by 11. Well the print drivers do anyway. Good luck.

Thanks, I really hope this gets fixed because I don't want to have to buy that printer. Do I understand that you have to have one for each room?

A) It is the greatest printer ever made. :-)
B) It is networkable and sits on my receptionist's desk. Everyone as connected to it -- all of my rooms, my MA, my receptionist. When I print my scripts, they are not only waiting for me at the front desk, they are stamped for the time they cannot be filled by. (We give three Concerta scripts at one time). Parents love it, pharmacists love it.

A) It is the greatest printer ever made. :-) greatest non-Brother printer, that is. Oh Lord. I will say I am in the process of moving my office to an all Windows 7 Professional peer to peer network. having the Star TSP 800 RX on the Win XP box was a problem with the Win 7 boxes. I had to move the Star TSP800 to one of the Win 7 boxes to get it to work on the network. Also had to tweak the page feed settings to "Black Mark". Working fine now on Amazing charts 5.1.7. Thank goodness. had a mother / daughter come in today with a dozen RX requests.

No, I hate to say the Star Printer is far better than the Brothers. At least it doesn't print to tiff.
Ken, I am confused. It shouldn't matter what OS you are using. It should be networked directly to your wall jack.
