I provide tech support for a small doctors office, 12 seats. They have increasingly had problems with Amaazing Charts crashing and freezing up. Here is a report from one of these instances:
"Wanted to update you on a pattern when my amazing chart shuts down. It shut down again today. It seems to only shut down when I go into "Imported Items" and the screen always starts out minimized, so I click the scanned item I want to see and it comes up and I go to enlarge the picture (maximize button) and the scanned item will not come up. The screen stays white where the scanned item should be. I hit the "X" to close the screen and it give me an option to close or wait till problem is fixed, but it never gets fixed it just stays white. So I say close and just re-start Amazing Charts again."
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

One of our providers has this issue, while the others do not. We are all on Windows 7, all with Dell laptops, very little difference with installed software. It is annoying.
Our workaround is to right click on the item you want to view in imported items, select open (in default application), and avoid hitting the enlarge box. This does give an even better view of the imported item, opening the PDF file in Acrobat.

I had this problem until I stopped using Adobe Reader as the helper app to read PDF files in Imported Items. Some similar comments are in these posts. There are many free PDF readers that can work in Amazing Charts' Imported Items. I am using the free PDF reader fom Nuance.

We resolved this issue in our practice by simply changing the resolution on machines that presented this problem. Changing from 1024X768 to a higher resolution (actually, Windows recommended resolution, come to think of it) immediately fixed this issue. Another thing to try would be updating Adobe reader.
Hope that helps.
