Is there a chance that chart merging functionalities will be added soon? As much as we hate to admit it, mistakes do get made that result in duplicate patient accounts and there really needs to be a way to fix this within the application. Pretty please!

Haven't tried this, but what about copying the duplicate chart and then importing it into the active chart?
It is possible to change the date on an encounter and save it.
You would open up the visit in the duplicate chart, copy and paste into the corrrect chart as an addendum, it would have the correct date but not be labelled as an encounter. But, the addendeum could be labelled as an enounter in the header.
Not perfect and not quick.

I think a patient merge feature would be great we use it with our PM HL7 but since there is no automated process for the HL7 sometimes the girls up front create a new patient and then HL7 will create the same patient later and it crreates a duplicate patients huge pain... Does anyone know what AC looks for when it thinks there is a duplicate patinet?
