We have recently fired our outside billing service and are bringing billing in-house for our 2 pediatrician office - going live 7/30/07 (!)
We have been very excited about getting Office Ally started, on the recommendations of many on the AC forums, but as we are getting closer and training staff, we are realizing there are problems with codes not going over correctly, etc.
Anyone using Office Ally currently, please let us know: should we stop now and shift to another billing program (and if so, what?!) or are there ways to make OA work relatively efficiently as we wait for the AC PM module?
Looking fwd to any insight ---
Valerie

I am also having issue with Office Ally and AC. In the new AC update there is an option to export to office Ally, that is what I tired. But NPI and PIN numbers are missing once office Ally received the files
Could you explain how are you exporting files to Office Ally ?

Bottom line AC and OA are not compatible. Please see my post on the other thread for details. Also check the post of superdoc from June in the problem section where most of the people are using EZ claims to get data from AC and then using another clearing house to process the data. This is not easy and few are mentioning problems with new update and NPI number. For now if you want to use office ally you have to type in data again on the 1500 form online which is a real pain. If this is posible to export files from AC to OA, I would like to hear from people who are successfuly doing this. Guru Sahi

You will not be able to export any multiple vaccinations correctly. There is no way to correctly put diagnosis pointers to CPT codes. Try entering your preventive health code with V20.2, admin 90465 and HIB CPT, the last two need V03.81. You can set the correct pointers in the superbill page, but for print or transmit it will default back to V20.2 as first diagnosis code for all three CPTs and insurance will reject the immunization for invalid ICD9. ANY encounter with more than one CPT will have to be manually entered in some other software. If anyone has found a solution to this problem, I'd love to here it!
