I know some of these have already been posted but perhaps the squeaky wheel will get the grease.

1.) I wish the copay responsibilty of the patient would show up in a column on the schedule
2.) I wish the schedule had a column where staff could denote that the patient was confirmed (we call all our patients the day before. If they are confirmed and do not show, they are charged a No Show fee). If the staff opens the appointment and edits it by adding that they were confirmed, it "updates" the booking of the appointment to show who confirmed and when. I still want to know who made the original appointment and when it was made, not who confirmed it.
3.)I would like any pop-ups or sticky notes to show up when a patient's name is highlighted in the schedule. If the biller needs a new copy of the card or if the patient must pay cash (history of passing bad checks) I want that to show up front as soon as the patient checks in.

Is there a place for me to see that a patient has finished checking in at the front desk? Is there such a place in V.4?

Leslie,
Your ideas and wishes are great as many here would like all of these and more in Ac, but as we have been told many times...

WHAT YOU PAY WHAT YOU GET....for fancy bells and whistles, you need to look somewhere else....-:) just kidding!

I was wondering if these issues had been addressed in version 5? We had a meeting with staff today and all agree that a way to track if the pt has arrived and checked in as well as in room or vitals completed would be a nice addition. Would also like for the DNKA tally to show up when scheduling a patient. Overall loving AC.

There are a lot of new things in V5 but I do not see any of those.

Maybe #3 but the demographic yellow "sticky" was already in V4.

We have the person responsible for checking pts in send a color coded email, w pt chart attached, to both the MD and check in person. This lets everyone know pt is ready, here, and generates a time stamp to keep up with the pts wait.

It could definitely be more user friendly, though.

Your ideas are ALL seconded by me, as well.

Also, if we could post the payment to generate a receipt for the pt before the note is signed, it would be great!

I hope these are all issues that get resolved with PM system, since these are usually done by PM!

I think the receipt thing would come with the PM upgrade. I was just wondering if any changes had been made to the scheduler. Just posting in the "wish list" for things I see as we get more accustomed to AC system. We had a different scheduler which would do all these things but was to cumbersome posting into both systems and really liking AC.

Overall, I'd like the scheduler to do the things that I do using AppointmentQuest, along with some specifics for the practice. Some ideas for the specifics are mentioned by others on this thread. But I would like it to be accessable from a website, frequently update AC so that patients who schedule online show up on the desktop, and have a form or people to check off the reason for their visit. 'Course, I pay AQ an extra $20/month for most of this. Luckily Jon has an import utility for AQ. I'd settle for a few small enhancements to the AQ import along with some of the suggestions above (copay amount, balance due/issues, check arrival time.) Now here's an idea. If Jon incorporates all the things from other commerical scheudulers, like web access and the like, would anyone be willing to pay say $20/month for the "Enhanced Scheduling System." For me it just means transferring $20/month I pay to AQ and pay it to AC.

Oh, it would be nice if the system kept a count of reasons that an appointment was missed and kept it in the patient summary. Like "This patient has 4 DNKA ,3 Cancellations and 5 completed visits.

Although the scheduler is very intuitive and easy to use, it's not a great scheduler.

It needs color codes (red=new patient, blue=f/u, etc).

It needs to only list the patient once in the schedule. I have 10 minute blocks on my schedule. New patients are 30 minute blocks but their name shows up 3 times. How bout their name just show up once and the whole 30 minute block change to one color.

Also, it drives me crazy that I have to resize the columns every single time I open AC. Easy? Sure. But it drives me crazy.

I would also like to be able to right click a patient in the scheduler and have the option to send a message to someone in my office about the patient.

I would like to move the columns in an order that I prefer.

I don't understand the "Minutes" column. It just says 10 (or whatever you have it blocked for) on each line. Kind of useless.

I wish I could turn off all the prompts when a DKNA is sent to my message box. I want to open the message, read it, and save it to the chart. No superbill, no opening the chart. Just save.

I wish AC would also simply just open completely maximized. Maybe that's just me.

Enuff bitchin'. Still the best $995 EMR on the planet.

Travis, you may want to look at this thread for a nice scheduling program built by a fellow AC user http://www.amazingcharts.com/ub/ubbthreads.php/topics/17707/Online_Appointment_Scheduler#Post17707
