the desktop icon...There it is..sitting there all pixilated and jagged next to my smooth firefox icon. It looks like it's out of windows 95 or something. Spice it up and make it look hot.

Spice it up and make it look hot. I agree enthusiastically. The pixelated icon gives the impression that AC is a amateur app when you demo it to a colleague.

OK, I will show my ignorance. Are we talking about the yellow folder that represents AC as its icon?
Try changing dpi from 120 to 96. Are you using 32-bit color? What video card are you using?
I have never had a pixelated icon for AC.
I think the icon is fine. You can always change the icon. There are free icons out there. Most that you download contain like 50,000 icons.

Well, if you are going to change your icons as per above, at least go to the System32 folder or better yet, something like www.bestfreeicons.comTalk about sexy.

OMG....a cute icon??....how bout the ability to generate an 837 file format?? Now an improvement like that would transform AC into something more than a med records keeper. Sorry...just getting tired of waiting. I'll pass on the glitz for some true functionality....Please!

I know you can export the 837 fields... is there a specific format for those fields that you need? Where can I find the specs on it?

Paul... i upload to Gateway EDI, and have to reenter visit codes in my old PM software in order to generate an 837 that works. AC will not generate 837's acceptable to Office Ally either...I've tried both. Tech support at both clearing houses state that AC is unwilling to cooperate because the problems are "hard-coded" into AC. They involve the use of legacy numbers in the claims and a couple other issues. The option to generate AC claims in an "Office Ally" format is useless at this point. Office Ally suggested an option to open the claims batch in an Excel template and modify entries and fields, etc, etc, etc. and try again. We just do not have the time to learn programming. Gateway EDI states that AC will not cooperate in making claims creation work with them, so they simply recommend not using AC or finding another clearing house. I have pondered whether AC is using this to push it's own ripoff billing service. Good med records program, but that is all AC is at this point.

True. If I could get a sample 837 file to compare with AC's output I might be able to write a batch conversion program, that would edit the placement of each item in the file and maybe even replace legacy numbers with new numbers. I am unsure what legacy number they mean, but it would be fun to at least look. Anyone have a sample 837 file that is acceptable to upload to Gateway EDI (with all the fields full of good but false info)?
