I cannot figure out how to delete the Lot #, expiration date etc. on the pull down menu of the immunization section. We are accumulating quite a list of info for bottles long since discarded.
Can anyone enlighten me?
Thanks!

It probably cannot be done. This more than likely works in a similar way to the insurance information, in that for an entry to stop appearing in the list all traces of it in patient charts must be removed. We have that problem. Having 10 BCBS entries with different addresses or phone numbers causes this. In your case, I would imagine that any chart with that information in it causes the field to be populated. If you remove that info then you would be changing the information about the previous immunization, which would be a huge "no-no".

Lot numbers should drop out of your list once the expiration date has been reached. There may be an issue with how the expiration dates were entered. But don't worry yet. How immunizations are handled is being updated in Version 5. It will now be part of the Health maintenance module. This is an exciting new feature in Version 5.

Having had to do a couple of vaccine recalls in past 15 years (one needing 800 charts reviewed), I would suggest saving lot# as a searchable field so that patients receiving lot number xxxxx could be quickly found.
