We are having problems with the accuracy of the SEARCH function and this is discussed under SEARCH posts previously. Now the problem becomes more critical as I am being asked how many of each age group in my practice will I expect to immunize in order to order vaccine!!!! I can't rely on the numbers I'm being given...it included a college student in the 2-3yo group. We really need to move on this quicker! Like yesterday!

Multi search option is not giving results that are accurate/very "off the wall" numbers
Call accepted by Dan.
Dan: multi search still has an issue they are working Peggy: Dan, I believe I spoke to you in April about this, with the same answer. I need to be able to search age ranges as a request by the Texas Health Dept to provide numbers of vaccines needed. Dan: it should be resolved when version comes out in a few weeks Peggy: Can I quote you? Dan: sure Peggy: thanks. any work around for my problem now? Dan: not really

The college student wasn't 23 by chance? (2-3) Assuming the small chance that they are, perhaps you could do 1 search of 2-3 y/o and then a search of 23 y/o, and remove anything that matches.... That does sound like quite an issue though...

Cherdimus, I have tried several variations of what you suggested but have had no luck with accuracy still.

Peggy, Do you have a separate PM software that could be used to search for the desired demographic?

Adam, yes, I use Medisoft, that's my next move. Bert, I have talked to Carlos before on separate issues. I'll request a chat with him next week. Will let you all know. Thanks.

Peggy,
Can you tell me exactly what you are trying to do? I mean are you just trying to see how many 17 yo are in your practice? Or 17 yo that need vaccine? How would you know they needed vaccine?

Well, anyway, I guess I will state it anyway. There are multiple problems with the multi-criteria search. But, if all you are needing to do is find out how many patients you have between 14 and 18, you can using the single search. At least it is accurate.
