I am hopeful someone here can help, so far I have not heard back from tech support with this issue. I am trying to put photos under the encounter rather than importing them seperately. I can do this fine and see them on the computer they are loaded onto but the others in the network it does not work. The file is shared by all the computers so I do not understand it. IT is a bit baffled here on the local level as well. Any thoughts?

It sounds as though you can at least save the note and see the picture again. I can import the picture into the note, save it, and it is long gone when I open it again. It didn't used to do that in version 3.

It would be nice to have a link from an encounter or from a message to an imported item. I have put "photo taken " in the note and unloaded the photo onto my desktop from the camera and then imported the photo to the record. I am having problems because the photo is GIGANTIC in AC. I asked the Gaurdian Angels and they told me the magnification needed to be addressed using the software that preceeds the import to AC. I haven't had a chance to figure that out yet. But also, an intraoperative photograph on photographic paper also scans into AC hugely magnified. ( So magnified that they are not useful. I have played with the % zoom on the scanner to no avail.) A patient sent a letter which I responded to, it would have beeen nice to be able to scan the letter and import it into the message box or an addendum and then attatch my reply. Instead I said "see import file for letter from patient". Using version 4.0.62

Thanks Bert, Actually I pulled the chart up today with the test one I did and it is gone now too! Ah me! An hour with Tech support yesterday and I got no-where with this isssue and another "glitch" with the RX writer. Needless to say I am frustrated but as I was told yesterday by tech support I have to be patient. smile Maybe they will find the answer!

As for resizing, dklehmannmd, you might try scanning or importing with Windows and not AC, editing in Paint and go to the "Image" menu bar item and select "Stretch/Skew" and resize, then import to AC. I know that means extra steps but it may get the job done.

As for the images not showing up, I would think that maybe putting the images on a share on the main computer(i.e. the server) and not on the local computer may help. I will try and tinker with it when I have time and see if I can con it into working.

*Update*
It appears the pictures are saved to the visit. If I click the dropdown box that says "Use past encounter as a template for this visit" and select the date of service for the visit with pictures I get the pictures back.*Update#2* If you print the past visit it appears the pictures are there too.

Ok, so I made a folder in the AC folder on the server called pictures and put the pictures I want to use in there and then made a shortcut on my desktop for that share. Then when I tried it, I was able to see the pictures through different accounts but only from the same computer, on other computers it does not work. That is strange and I don't know of an answer.

*Edit*
Thanks Bert grin

GuitarPaul,
Thankyou. Your suggestion does work, I resized to 20% and the photos in AC are just right. It is slightly time consuming, I figure putting a photo in the chart will add an extra two minutes to the time it takes to complete the patients chart at the end of the day. I bet I take a photo less often.
On the topic of illustrations.... I don't like some of the illustrations that are prepopulated in the physical exam section , For example, the left breast illustration does not include the lateral aspect, so the other day I couldn't make a diagram for the patient whose lump was in the periphery at 4 o'clock position. Can the illustrations be edited or is there a way to add our own?

Given that the illustrations are located in a folder called Illustrations and are jpgs, it seems if you made them 140 by 140, they would work.

What drives me crazy is having to draw by right clicking. Not the most user friendly.

Finally have an answer or part of one. Carlos finally called back and they have found a bug in 4.0.60. There are working on this and I am not to upgrade to 62 but wait until next week when they have the next upgrade out that should fix this. In the meantime I am importing to imported items and under the picture tab. :)I also asked about the TSP800 electronic sig and he is to "let me know". All of the above has taken a week to get an answer. I do wish that when you have a specific tech that tells you to call you had a direct line rather than the main phone number (hours were spent today trying to reach him).

What did you ask about the TSP800 electronic signature?

My guess is with a direct line or not, one would wait a while to talk to Carlos. He is pretty much considered THE guy when it comes to support. smile

Your right on Carlos, smile or frown.

I wanted to know when we can expect the actual imported sig to print electornically on the TSP800 as it does now on letters and regular RX. I would love to fax when I am sending locally rather than printing then faxing. Now that walk-ins are increasing due to the season this will be even harder to do.

OK, now you have me thoroughly confused.

Sure, I am one that was bitterly disappointed as I mainly upgraded to V4 so I could import the signature. That way, I think as you say, when I write for Paregoric, Ambien, Vicodin, etc. I could print to fax directly from the PC as it would basically appear as though I printed it out, signed it and faxed it. But, for reasons I can't recall, the imported signature does not support printing on the size script that would go on a TSP800.

Maybe that is where I am not understanding. I am reading that you want the imported signature to print to the tamper-proof script that the TSP800 prints. Would that be legal? I am under the impression that controlled substances have to be on special tamper-proof paper AND be signed live and not by a stamp.

I am sorry Bert that does sound confusing but yes I do want to print on the TSP800 tamper proof scripts. I actually opted not to have my DEA. Honestly it is a blessing! I had 2 seekers yesterday that I was able to say NO very easily. SO mine would be for all regular RX's.
