A couple of people on the forum say they have the beta, and that Jon will have it sent to you if you call.
Seems like they should have sent a release with a few minor-to-moderate changes while they continued to work out the final bugs on the big update.

I am using Beta 3.0 build 27 and it is "FANTASTIC" few minor bugs, but nothing that will ruin your database. I have installed it on all 5 of my computers in the office. download at www.amazingcharts.com/betayou first have to run the database tuner download at www.amazingcharts.com/databasetuner.exe

The Beta is now available for download by choosing the download program option from amazingcharts.com. All the new features are listed and it is exciting to see the much anticipated improvements! I am running AC on an 8 station SBS 2003 network. I am going to go ahead and take my chances on the beta version today and hope it runs smoothly!

Careful when upgrading.
I made the mistake of downloading the beta version while running the trail version and now cannot access the program at all. I apprently need to do something with the database, but cannot since I've not yet purchased the program.
I've uninstalled the program and redownloaded it, but apparently did not "get rid" of somethng during the uninstall, thus it is still not working.
I'm sure I'll get it sorted out when I speak with someone on Monday. In the meantime, if you are not yet an "active" user...be careful.

I am sorry you are having such trouble. It sounds like it could be many things which primarily have to do with data base location and other related matters. It sounds like something quite simple which overall should be worked out easily in the end - particularly when you are a new user. Perhaps if you do a search once you have done the uninstall for any AC files remaining on your computer and you delete those, you will have better results. There is a folder that remains in the program files. Once deleted, it should download a "fresh" version. I am pleased to report that I have successfully deployed the new version with no difficulty. It is a fantastic update and I am excited to see how well it runs in full force come Monday. The risk of bugs did not sway me since we were already entertaining a few with the previous version. The worst of which, being a program closure when attempting to open forwarded charts from a message box. The new superbills, spell-check and electronic prescribing already have us much enthused! Thank you for the beta Amazing Charts! PS: I get the impression AC has moved on from their previous support vendor! I cheer that decision on for many good reasons!

ChristyH, Thank you! That worked - no more conflict. I was able to download and get set up. But then...when I log in, nothing every happens. I'm sure we will get it worked out though. rainy

What do you mean by nothing ever happens? Have you begun entering patient data through the demographics screen? Once you have your practice information entered, that is your next step.

from what i can tell, the beta version has several new fields of data...so you have to "tune up" the old database in order for them to be accepted by the new version. when i upgraded, even though the beta tester was "free" i had to enter my user code to get the tuner. that may have been you problem when trying to upgrade the trial version....i'm only running the beta version on a few machines cuz i don't want to have to redo everything when the "real one" comes out...which...i hope....will be soon...?

ChristyH, I was able to add my practice data, I was able to set up my schedule, and when I hit next, it just closed. I logged in again...and once I put in my password and click login...same thing...nothing. Barbara
