Interesting article, John. However, the call referred to above was to discuss results of tests done the day before and to answer questions about his ongoing problem for which I had seen him in the office. After reading the article, I still could not have billed him. Nor would I be able to bill for just about any of my calls. I almost never do phone consultations or prescribe without seeing a patient. I usually just go over things we may have discussed or ordered at a visit. But I was certainly unaware of this change in codes and appreciate the heads up!

First of all, the print button does not allow one to select the printer, e.g. the fax, and instead goes to the default printer.
I set my default printer to my fax prior to tellin AC to print the entire chart, and it goes straight to the fax server, which then askes for the phone number. I am using a Sharp copier fax machine and Windows XP pro. It also recieves all incoming faxex as files on teh "Sharpdesk" folder of my receptionist. No paper.

Kathryn,
If you select Preview rather than Print, it will give you an option of which printer to use.
I know of no place in AC where one can only print to the default printer.
