Going to be hard to do it on another computer if he is on v9+. It's not even worth it anymore. Activation codes and getting the backups tweaked by AC.
Why James and I recommend virtualization. Do it once during the work week to get the instance certified, then never have that issue again. It will fit on a thumb drive, and runs fine on completely different host machines.
