Agreed as well. There is a sweet spot. 27 is nice. I have probably used over 50 monitors (flat screens seem to be very senstive to power surges -- even with AVRs, etc.) CRT will last through a fire.

To be honest, I started with QX2710LED. Shipped from Taiwan in one day. It is the clearest best picture I have ever seen. A little pricey but worth it. There is nothing like going to Best Buy or Staples and just comparing.

Pay particular attention to connections: VGA vs DVI vs HDMI, etc. If you can go HDMI, that would be the best. This monitor actually takes a Dual DVI.

Check under Computer --> System Properties, then Windows Expertience Index and see what your scores are for graphics. To be completely honest, though on one of my computers with a $400 graphics card, the screen is not as sharp as this one using the onboard. Of course with an Intel i7, the onboard video is fine. The WEI is basically overrated.

I am with John. I don't see how a monitor is going to change your font. My font is fine from my smartphone remoting in.
