I'm with Larry. 27" 1080P is the sweet spot if you have trouble seeing. There's a sale on a
Ben Q 27" 1080P with a VA Panel. I have one as my 4th monitor. The better contrast with the VA panel in addition to the large size is excellent for anyone with trouble seeing.
Check out this for the difference between TN, VA, and IPS panels. Your average monitor is a TN panel.
