Thanks for that tip AmazingDave. For those trying to do this one by one it can be a very time consuming affair. I found by accident that you can easily batch select all: select the first patient and then scroll to the bottom and press shift and click on the last patient. Then click completed and Update order. If you have thousands like I did it will take a long time so do it at night.
I wonder it these "ordered" orders really slow down AC though, because the orders are still there, just in a different category. Now they are "completed" but still show up in AC. Is there a way to purge them? Should they be?
Another point. I mentioned this before, but there is no way to check messages on "users" which are no longer working in your practice unless you reactivate them, reset their password, log in as them, and delete all their messages, which is another time consuming process. There should be a way for the administrator to forward all messages to / from "deactivated users." There might be important stuff in there.
One more thing: if you are like me, I run a bussy practice and have been using AC for 10+ years (lots of temp workers. Ma's dont last more than 2-3 years in my experience. Same with secretaries) I have accumulated over 100+ users which really bugs down the user account & security adminstrative tab. There should be a way to just see "active users" instead of having to scroll down to find the active users among a sea or red "inactive users"
I have thought about reusing these "inactive users" and just change the name to the new employee instead of making a new one. Any thoughts on this? Should I recycle my old employees user accounts? Only reason I have not is that you can't change the user name and they would have to log in using the former employee's username; I usually just use their first name. I could create an user account called medical assistant, secretary, biller, etc. Then just change their name if they leave.
I noticed a "user" called LOSTPROV, LOSTPROV. Is this an AC generated user? What is it for? I do not see the user in the log in AC's login window...
Just some rambling thoughts this lazy Sunday.
Happy holidays!
