I use a win 7 desktop as my main computer.
on my Router settings for port forwarding I have the following options-
1. enter the LAN port and IP info- starting port , ending port and LAN address
2. enter remote port ( is this the same as public port?) and IP info ( OPTIONAL) - starting and ending port and remote IP address- I AM ABLE TO USE RD WITHOUT PUTTING ANYTHING HERE and leaving it blank i.e if I put in my public IP adress : 3389 I am able to connect,
I DO NOT HAVE THE OPTION OF PUBLIC OR PRIVATE ON MY SETTINGS
so my question is do I have to go to the registry and change the listening port or can change my ports just with changing these settings ?
