The formulary check feature may be the main driver of upgrading. It is a menu item now for meaningful use but would be a required element for MU Stage 2 (which is scheduled to go into effect in 2014 but could potentially be delayed). You can do formulary checking through the NewCrop screen now, but it is unclear if doing it this way satisfies the requirement.
