Here is the problem with that at least as I see it. Given I don't use II, I am probably the least likely person to know this.
Can you put your II on an NAS or USB or any other external drive? Yes. But, that means moving all of those II to that drive and then reimporting them so AC can associate those files with that patient.
Then, automatic imports would then occupy the II folder. You cannot make AC import them to an external drive. It just doesn't know that drive exists. So, letters you have to sign off, letters you write or files you import from your computer, et. al. are all going to go to the II folder in the AC folder.
Why can't you install another RAID card and set up a RAID I with two TB drives?
