Why don't you just turn the spell checker off and check your spelling the old fashioned way?
I am for the most part the only one reading the notes, and i can understand my notes, and if words are mispelled, i am going with the flow.
Perhaps the spell-checker (like the letter-writer) is somewhat more important to specialists than to primary care providers. Most of my notes ARE read by others (at least I like to think so

) and so correct spelling is more of an issue for me.
Regardless... in my opinion a spell-checker that works is a basic functionality which should be a "given" in any EMR. It should work, and if it does not, it should be repaired. This one doesn't work.
