I have several computers, mostly windows 7 with updox running on java 7, that give a whole bunch of sintax errors when updox is first launched. Is there a version of Java that works best with Updox? At some point I was told Updox only works with Java 6, but then I was told it was ok to update. Now I get the errors all the time. Updox works well once it starts, but you have to keep clicking ok on the "sintax error" window. If you forget to, the programs just hangs there until you click ok. Should I go back to Java 6? How? Where do I get it? I can't find it in their website.
The fastest way to resolve this is to uninstall Updox and Java, then go to java.com, install the latest, then go back to Updox and re-install it. If you use the local Updox printer, you'll need to re-install it as well.
