These type of meetings are really not that difficult.
I am also in favor of the more reasonable centrally located venue. There are many other lodging possibilities in Branson and the area and it would be fine for anyone to stay wherever they wish of course. I certainly understand the comment about not purchasing something just because it is deductible, but my point is that, if you drive and rent a condo, you can bring the family without significant additional expense and still deduct the trip.
If we do have the meeting in Branson it will obviously be a regional event that anyone is encouraged to attend and may set the stage for a more ambitious location for a week long meeting.
I do think that it could be very productive for marketing AC if that is a consideration.
