Most conferences I've ever attended have a few hours of conferencing on Sunday morning. I think this is fine.
Friday through Sunday format makes sense (and I'm coming from Maine). Thursday through Sunday could work too.
I'd also be willing to volunteer to give a talk if my point of view as a newbie AC user would be valuable to anyone.
