The entire healthcare industry is rapidly moving to new standards for real-time interoperability. This is quickly becoming the new baseline for everything from sending referrals to getting prior authorizations and sharing patient data with hospitals and payers. We're already feeling the gap, as it's been increasingly difficult to track our patient quality metrics in real-time with Amazing Charts.

I've spoke with some people at Amazing Charts and was told their timeline is to deliver this level of modern interoperability by the end of 2026. Does this 2026 timeline seem realistic and has anyone seen a formal roadmap or a more specific commitment? What does the long term future of AC look like?

I spoke with someone yesterday about AC and the future. They do have plans and he was excited about these plans. I have been told, in the past, that this year should be the last of the "legislative updates" that have taken a significant toll on programming. AC said at the last shape the future meeting that they will be able to focus more on user recommended fixes and features. So I guess what I was told adds up to your conversation of 2026. We will see.

I have looked at another EMR that would save me about $200-300 per month, has a patient portal, has AI scribe and is user customizable, to some extent. I have not moved simply due to the fear of the amount of work a move will take with information transfers and learning curve for all involved at the office. Oh by the way the other EMR also includes full practice management with billing.

As I type this, I have a new main computer just sitting in the office waiting on AC to transfer my data, put in a request a week ago and no word from AC...........
