Jim:
I gave this reply on the other thread that you posted to, but I wanted to update a bit.
As I said before, I just got the first part of the LabCorp bridge last week and I can *receive* labs just fine through AC, and they also continue to send me hard copies for now.
Next week I am supposed to get the part I have been really waiting for, which is the bridge that allows me to *order* lab, using my AC demographics instead of having to re-enter them. We have used LabCorp for years, and re-entering demographics and checking demographics that have already been checked at the desk was always the most frustrating part of the job.
That said, Apricot's comments about processing incomplete labs rings true with me, and as I am not paperless yet, I can envision a scenario where I might use the computerized ordering function, and stick with paper to receive my results.
As far as cost, LabCorp's portion of the work is free, and I believe we just have to pay AC a reasonable sum one time only, after the evaluation period, or am I mistaken?
