Hi Jim and Welcome,

I have not interfaced with our lab for a variety of reasons - the main one is because I can't figure out how it would work, and neither can they!

One of the things I don't particularly like about AC is the lack of flow sheets for labs and other trackable data. There is no way for me to see what is due unless I set a reminder. Since I do a large amount of diabetes, not to mention INR's, it's a problem.

I'm using the flow sheet for my diabetics as discussed in the following article: http://www.aafp.org/fpm/20060400/47usin.html. While it's additional work, I can glance at it quickly each morning to see who needs what. It's proven valuable for both the clinic assistant an myself.

As for finding labs: you can search "free text", but it's pulling it up if it's anywhere in your note (notes, messages, addendum, demographics are the searched fields.
