hospital records and labs, etc. into the Imported Items area...swapping back and forth between dictating and looking at the labs/x-ray reports... Is there a way to continue to dictate without having to toggle screens back and forth all the time?
No way to view two chart tabs at the same time. As the saying goes, this is a feature, not a bug -- it allows you to switch between different sections of the chart by clicking the tabs, without multiple windows overlapping. Maybe in version 7?
I'm still having problems with simple words such as 'is' 'his' 'he' 'she' not being transcribed correctly and have retrained these many times but the program still is probably 25% of the time not transcribing these correctly. I've tried re-adjusting the mic, talking slower, etc., but it still seems to happen.
This is signal to noise. Strategies include careful enunciation (emphasize the "huh" sound in
his, versus
is, etc) or a better mike. Some of the newer
speech mikes have impressive accuracy and noise cancellation, which are important in Dragon Medical. Also, if you are using Dragon Medical version 10, make sure that you have upgraded to the
10.1 upgrade .
Finally, whenever I dictate a doctor's name, like Dr. Smith, it will do Dr. SMITH. Some of the names are not all capitalized but most are and unsure why this is the case.
I suggest running the
Dragon Medical Acoustic Optimizer. You can also use the Accuracy Center tool to remove the all caps version of "Dr SMITH" from your user vocabulary.
