We use Advanced MD ( because my billing person loves it and had been using it before we started in AC) and the X-link software. You are correct, X-link charges for updates. This occurs more often because AMD updates their software than because of an AC update. The billing information flows well from AC to AMD. However, currently the schedule does not come across and the email addresses do not come across. My staff installed a X-link upgrade or modification yesterday, I think they told me that one or both of these things will now come across.
Also, if they put the demographicas in AMD and you get to the eprescribe before the data transfers over to AC then eprescribe doesn't work because the demographic info is incomplete. ( At least that is what they tell me....I think it is entirely possible that the delay is actually human factor rather than technical limitation.)
