How about a devils advocate position. Take the database you will be renaming "old". Put it on a separate computer off your network with a monitor near a network one. Get an employee to compare patient files on the two computers to see what is what. A database specialist may be able to guide you. At least you may find out a pattern to what is missing in the "good" database
