Yes, a virtual machine (with two OS if triplets) would work or you could even have two computers for that matter. But, I'm with Wendell on this one. I have been using AC for close to seven years now, and I have never found one time where opening two charts would be advantageous. Maybe I am missing something. What would be the big advantage.
I sometimes see four patients in a room, and to be honest I do use a bit of an assembly line. Do the four paper charts for well child, do the four electronic charts, then put everyone on the table and go down the line. Or something like that.
You would run the risk of error that way.
