Am I wrong that actually making the application itself smaller might help?
Interestingly, with a large size DPI setting (120 DPI) sure you can resize the active window but, in a truly maddening fashion, the display always crowds out the bottom lines. (No, looking behind the monitor doesn't work either
)
This at least applies to Windows XP.
