Assuming your playing with screen resolution included trying a resolution greater than 1042X768 there is one other item- the DPI
Display Properties > Settings
Advanced button
Check and be sure "DPI Setting" is set for
normal size or 96DpI.
(if the doc has, ahem, older eyes the DPI may
have been set to larger DPI which leads to
cutting off the bottom of some windows)
