You should be able to use the HELP - check for updates from main AC program page. It should then allow you to download 4.073. This may not do anything.
Let us know if plugging it in works. I use a P2P network and my question is can you use Winows Explorer on your laptop and view network drives and actually find the AC folder on your main machine...... Next question if you can do that is do you get an error when AC boots - you should be able to manually reset the paths on the laptop and then when it asks you to search you should be able to bring up the network folder.
