Clicking the meds in the note allows you to discontinue meds such as antibiotics that were completed, add meds from other doctors, etc. This makes it so when you print the note the med list will show the current meds the pt. had when they entered the exam room (with the corrections noted above) and then the Plan will have meds you have discontinued, added or changed that visit.
I try to use the click the meds to do above - then when I delete, add, modify meds during the visit it will show that I made those changes during that visit.
