Yes but did you have any new unsaved work there before you did that? What if you already had started to chart an encounter so there was some stuff in some of the various boxes, whether typed or templated? Does that clear out what you have just been working on? That's what Nancy seems to be saying is happening. She's been entering a good long note, most of it is complete, she goes to type a capital "N" via shift and N, and probably hit cntrl & N instead and....Bam, there goes everything she was in the midst of entering but had yet to sign off on. All that work is now lost and not even in the last note file for emergency recovery. I wonder if getting a "second to last note" file would be too crazy a thing to ask for.

Joe, I just went and tried this with our "false" patient James Bond, and sure enough, I make a few entries in a few places, hit control and N, sure enough there went everything I had just entered but had yet to sign and save. Wow, how totally frustrating is that? That needs to be taken out. Just one slip of a key below the one you think you are hitting and there goes all your work. Bad news. We need a new and safer shortcut than this to start a new note.....
