vm has a free ver u can test out, or there's also sun's virtualbox, which is free and works well for me and doesn't require too much tweaking (on a linux box running win xp). it does take some time investment, whether you go virtually or set it up for real (either reinstalling windows or running ac4 and db converters, etc). so if you don't want to fiddle with it too much and ver 3 is working for you now, then i'd just leave it.

but if you're adventurous and got the time, then there's alot of cool improvements you can do w/ ver 4.
