This keeps happening to me and I keep getting calls from pharmacies.
I will send a script for:
Concerta extended release 36 mg tablets I will then get a message from the pharmacy stating they can't fill it, because it has a do not fill before 2/25/2025. That doesn't even get in the script unless you try to add another Concerta 36 mg and only then it gives you the date so you can put it in I don't believe it puts it in automatically which would be nice. But, I don't know where AC is both getting 2/25/25 and inserting into one script that gets sent over. I mean, yes, all the other EMRs out there can do that, but AC can't.

Did you check the "note line" in the prescription as maybe an old note to the pharmacy? I would look at it in the "current medication list box" once it is enlarged.

I got a few calls with same since 12.3
It seems to carry over from last rx. If you inactivate the med and start brand new rx it seems to reset.
We can't see this field completely but it's sent to newcrop or newcrop generates it.
It happened in 12.3 as part of a fix I requested to be able to send 3 consecutive controlled rxs at once 1 now and 1 for each of next 2 fills. It used to give a bogus rx valid date on 2nd and 3rd refills.
Definitely needs AC escalation.

Something we have discussed with AC and was supposed to be fixed in 12.3! Thanks for the update Larry.

@Larry,
Thanks for the info. The whole idea of the medication being active is so you can just click on it. Chris and I actually had two Zoom meetings with AC on the script writer, because a) it is so important and b) it has the most errors. One should be able to put three Concerta 36 mg tablets, back to back to back and the earliest date to fill should automatically be put in the script. Saves tons of time and keeps thinks more accurate. The other thing is why the radio buttons next to Authy App and Hard Token. If you forget to check the radio button next to Hard Token it won't go. It doesn't matter with Authy App. Just let AC figure it out by which one you put in the authorization code.
I know AC hates it when we pick these things apart and are negative about them, but the script writer has been the biggest issue with AC for many years.

agree it should work. still needs some fine tuning.
best way to use authy: type in validation code, skip radio buttons, push send authorization.
use apple watch with authy app. look at watch, hit approve and good to go -- no phone or hardware key needed.

I second Larry's Apple watch and authy app combination. It has streamlined controlled substance prescribing and means I don't have to pull out my cell phone during patient encounters. Much more 'subtle' to tap the watch. This feature is why I finally got a smart watch after resisting for many years.
Pro tip, however, for new smart watch users: turn off Siri and suggestion features before use. When I first used the watch it asked - out loud - if I wanted to reorder Chinese food (my last use of the phone/watch) during a patient exam! Made for a good laugh and revealed my food preferences . . .

Can this be used on an Android phone and, if so, do you simply download it to your phone?
