Accessing the prescription writer and history is taking forever. I never know if it's going t work or come up and if it doesn't , I have kill AC and start over .
Am I the only one having this problem?

Try to wait it out. That's what I do. It usually finally opens.

Yesterday after lunch Erx grinded to a halt. Taking minutes! to open the Erx window. Doing a prescription literally takes 10 minutes. When finally finished Rx when submitted takes minutes and cannot do anything with AC in the meantime. I was thinking to print Rx, but didn't have the time to figure how to do that. I am starting in 1/2 hour seeing patient and I am dreading already what will happen today.

We are having problems with prescriptions. They are not populating in the patients plan or in their med list. Provider is having to take the time to type out each one. Is anyone else having this problem? If so, how did you fix it?

Started having the same problem. Very intermittent. Bert has had this happen to him for years. No known fix. Can't seem to replicate for tech support. Try to just have provider resend and will likely populate into the chart the second time.
I have noticed seems to happen when there is more than one prescription ready to be sent but I'm not 100% sure that is the issue.

That is usually due to an issue either with the number of pharmacies listed in the chart (can not be more than 5) or diagnosis codes (which can not be more than 100). Sounds like a lot of diagnosis codes but I have seen many times over the last 15+ years in family practice with the same EHR. You can go to summary page and clear a few DX and see if that fixes the problem. Pharmacies can be deleted when prescribing.

Stella,
I noticed this issue again this morning, "prescribed" 3 meds and none of these were saved to the chart. Explanation:
3 meds, 2 were just to change the directions so did not need to send to pharmacy so quantity was 0. These came up with an error message even though all I wanted was to have them saved in the chart, had to go to the "current medication" text box to change and have it saved. This used to not happen before version 12!!!!!
The third medication was a new med, sent to pharmacy but due to the issue with the 2 others this medication was not saved either. So now, I have to resend.
AC 'HIGHER UPS AT CORPORATE' HAVE BEEN TOLD OF THE ISSUE WITH CHANGING DIRECTIONS, ADDING SUPPLEMENTS, ADDING MEDICATIONS FROM OTHER PROVIDERS ETC. CAUSING ISSUES IN THE PRESCRIBING SCREEN. THEY HAVE BEEN TOLD HOW DIFFICULT IT IS TO CHANGE AND GO TO THE "CURRENT MEDICATION" TEXT BOX. AC HAS NOT CHANGED THIS FOR THE PROVIDERS TO MAKE IT EASIER!

here's a high point, while you're waiting for the script writer, you have time to post because you're waiting for the prescribing window to open.......so you can fix the issue that shouldn't be an issue
or just take a short nap.........
