So here's the latest secret AC won't broadcast. Version 11.2 is out. If you go to https://amazingcharts.com/acsupport/ and press Request an appointment, ignore the Schedule SQL 2016 button and fill out the info below stating you want to upgrade to 11.2 you can. If you are in the cloud, add this so you won't be charged. In addition to this jewel of info only ascertained by speaking with Jen in tech support, I learned why my e-prescribing was glacially slow and buggy (see Problems post on eliminating text and coupon messaging to patients which messed things up). Also that Amazing Reminders (which I pay not only for that service but TECH SUPPORT for that service) was out due to a problem with AT&T. I pointed out that Updox, their partner, texts out any problems immediately. AC doesn't put important information on their website. Oh and they have "prioritized" fixing Amazing Reminders which appears to have begun to fail 3 weeks ago.

Logged in to my Account with AC and looked for version 11.2. It is no where to be found on the product page. There is no mention of Version 11.2 on the help page. Just for fun I tried the "download latest version" button and 11.1.4 started to download. I think I will wait a little longer.

Shrinkrap does say if you got to "support and request an appointment" it is available. I just don't know why we hear the next version is coming out and then not a peep out of AC about how things are going. You would think that they would want to post updates. I still say AC should have an auto update available. Not sure why or how they auto-update the UOM and screw things up but not give us the latest version of the full program.


Yes I am bitter about the UOM's changing!

Why? Because despite telling them over and over, literally for years, that even a little communication would go a long way, they do not get it.
At this point there is no real excuse. It is not a matter of resources - how hard would it be to send a blast email or post on this board?
Their resistance to some sort of reasonable communication is hard to fathom, and frankly pretty irritating.

As to the UOM fiasco... one day Newcrap will get the boot from AC and all this crap will go away. Lets hope that day comes soon.

I installed the V11.2 and suggest that people hold off for now. Don't know why but is very slow unless IPV6 is turned off on all workstations. Also staff have mentioned crashes, freezes and have had issues with prescription monitoring. I have reported those issues but have not heard back. It feels like a beta version.

Have onsite server, peer to peer network. I heard in the group that the V11.2 official release was out and wanted to get started with it. Has been difficult since the install. Daily have issues with script writer not working (randomly for hours) and then it starts working again. Not sure what is going on.

There are enough problems with the prescribing in 11.1.4 to deal with, I was hoping 11.2 was better.

I am tired of having to go back to charts and find out why a medication is inactivated but getting refill requests and know the pt should still be taking it!

So far it feels like a step back. We are able tp prescribe controlled substances in the script writer without visiting NewCrop but the program runs slow, randomly the script writer does not work and the program crashes are back.

WOW I AM STILL ON 11.1.4 BECAUSE I NEVER HEARD 11.2 WAS WORKING PROPERLY!!!!!!!!!

BUT WHAT A GREAT EMAIL FROM THE NEW EVP (EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT) TODAY ABOUT ALL OF AC'S ACCOMPLISHMENTS WITH HARRIS, he says sarcastically.

HOPEFULLY THIS ISN'T JUST A BS LINE: "We have to commit ourselves to being more data driven in what we do and improve our communications with you--our customers." GETTING AN EMAIL PRAISING THE FACT THAT "Completion of the 11.2 and 11.3 product releases" WAS AN ACCOMPLISHMENT FOR 2022 WHEN A USER OF MORE THAN 10 YEARS HAD NOT IDEA IS DEFINITELY POOR COMMUNICATION!!!!!

I am done with my rant, let me know if this is off base and I just missed the update and I will delete this and eat crow.

Just for fun went to my account for AC, went to download latest version and guess what, link doesn't work and the version notes are for 11.1.

So how do I get this great and wonderful accomplishment for 2022 with the latest version 11.3?

Went back through my email and nothing I can find indicates 11.3 is out but lots of messages about MIPS reporting.

Am I the only one that thought the email about accomplishments for 2022 and the statement about version 11.2 and 11.3 was crazy? Am I missing something?

After having a difficult month, we partially fixed the issues. Script writer was taking too long and timing out. We had to disable IP V6 on the machines, Under the user preferences, the users had to opt out of getting discount coupons / offers and disable sending patient notifications about prescriptions helped with the Script writer. They also worked on compacting the data. It is still slow but workable.
The ability to send ERx for controlled substance within AC is nice. It still does not allow to respond to incoming refill requests for controlled substances.
Happy to report that the version 11.2 has been stable for the past couple of months.

Thanks for the update, sounds like I will still wait for a revised version of 11.2. Or maybe, I can get the magical and elusive version 11.3!

I was told today Version 11.3 is in Beta testing and clients that need MIPS are the ones being updated to this version. I will be waiting, if anyone on her is on Version 11.3 please give us an update on how it is doing.

Got an Email today about Version 11.3 and MIPS being available. Of course they added this: "Please contact support to log a request for the upgrade. Depending on the type of install, a billable charge may apply."

Yeah, Chris, I got that one too. Note that it says nothing about any new features or even if this is the new "standard" release... just that it is certified for MIPS 2023 and necessary if you want to participate in MIPS this year.

We usually do the upgrades ourselves. I contacted AC tech support and they just sent me the install files. We haven't upgraded yet, but I will let you know how it goes.

11.3 so the office can participate with MIPS - we plan on doing the upgrade this weekend.

Out of curiosity... how did you get V11.3? I know they sent an email asking us to upgrade, but it is not available on the AC portal for download. In the past, that is how we knew a release was "official". Are you being told it is in beta, or an official release?

It is still Beta, I contacted AC support and they sent us the install file.

The upgrade itself went fine. We have run into a few problems with the beta version. Sometimes the imported items don't work, it is just blank, but I believe we figured out the solution to that. The providers have to completely reset their EPCS Pin (it can be the same as the previous one) but it is now under preferences instead of newcrops. You now also have to click a check box for the nurses in order to even deny controlled substances under the e-refills, which is also under preferences. It has only been a few days, so I will let you know what other issues arise.

Why is it the Title Date for the release and the first paragraph angers me........

maybe because it's to be implemented by 1/1/2023 if you are going to report, how would you know you needed to update if AC didn't let you know in time!!!!!

Regarding inactivated meds that the patient is still taking, I thought it was something I or my nurses were doing wrong.
Happens too often to be our error.
Very annoying. Already have enough problems trying to reconcile medications.
