So with a few patients, when I send an rx, they get a text. Something along the lines of "review your prescription from Dr.s" the link asks for birth date then a screen at rxinform.org There is a coupon for discount card which comes from "hippo" there are also references to drfirst.com I understand the number is pulled from cell phone in demographics. It does not work for all patients. There is a valid cell number. just in case I made them a portal account. Not everyone gets this text. It is useful in that patients are aware we sent a rx Why does this work for some patients and not others? I have looked at several different patient records, but I cannot find a difference with those that gets texts and those that don't I think this process is independent of Updiox Any ideas?

It is independent of UpDOx. I have some patients that their cell number comes up red and will not text them. I have reentered their cell umber and this usually fixes the problem. There is also a check box that says you want to send the text to the pt.
