A patient called for a refill today and there is no record in her eRx history of the medications she is requesting. I know that I prescribed these - they show up in old notes. The old prescriptions do not show in the list in "write scripts" active meds, nor in the "transaction status page".

This has occurred intermittently in the past, but I thought maybe I was imagining the problem. Now it is clearly occurring though with no discernable pattern.

My staff sometimes imports meds from the Rx hub in NewCrop, though I have no idea if that is related to this or not.

Anyone else experiencing this or able to provide any insight?

Have had this happen, very rare. Will also change meds to inactive (more frequent than just disappearing), the inactive problem appears after a med has been sent for refill. Did you check the inactive meds?

I have noticed that New Crop screen is not holding/transferring the UOM. There is also still a problem with the meds being not codified and italics. The italics problem was very bad in 11.1.1 and seemed better in 11.1.4 but i have been noticing more and more of these. There was another thread about the codify problem.

Anybody else using the new meds for COVID?

WHY does it take so long to get new meds in our system?

Thanks, Chris.

I am not sure how often it happens, but will try to pay more attention and look for a pattern. Not sure if it is AC related or NewCrop related.
Should have mentioned we are on 11.1.2. Have not had many issues with codifying and italix.

Anyone else?

Jon,

If you prescribe a drug and get all the way to setting it up for one more click, if you don't send (I do it all the time time -- I don't know why) it will show up on transaction page and in note. Make sure you hit send script again.

We cut down on this problem by going to the new work flow which I think everyone should try:

Write script --> get to the very end of the script -- let AC crash (you have no choice) --> restart AC -- it says already running (you are close now) --> open again and resurrect last note, then open script writer --> write sig (have it disappear two or three times) -- fix that with copy and past (I always copy and paste long sigs) (once AC knows you have done that, it will no longer delete your sig) send script.

Please don't thank me for the workflow but it is beautiful and if done correctly only takes about 80 seconds.

A little sarcasm there Bert?????

I think JBS has an issue where the med can be in the chart, sent in, patient is at home with it in the cabinet and then next time they call for a refill or come in there is no record in AC of the med ever being prescribed!!!! I have had this issue, and thought I was just crazy, COVID busy and forgot, who knows. The med will be in the note but not in the list of medications anymore.

I have also had where the prescription goes "inactive" with re-sending or sending a refill and then the next time you go to refill it is not there and have to research why it is inactive. Most times there is no reason other than the with the last refill the computer decided to move the drug to inactive.

Then the italicized med and not codified, seems better than the first version of 11.1.1 but now on 11.1.4 for a month or so and seeing it again, just weird.

NEW TRICK........for the last 3 days, come in and first thing I always do is refill meds, get through matching all of the refills and hit send, CRASH... yep after getting to the bottom of the list (43 this morning) the system crashes and have to restart all over. Painful waste of time.
